You will be asked to provide the following:

• CV
• a short statement about your specific interests in NCD research
• the name(s) of at least one scientist in Thailand and/or Indonesia who agrees to serve as a major/primary mentor for you. (The local mentor will provide the training activities locally to support the trainee’s progress in their training plan and will work closely with the trainee throughout the two years of training. The local and UM mentor will meet at least bi-monthly with the trainee through virtual media (e.g., Zoom) to assure consistency of training approach and input to the trainee.).
• A letter of support from the scientist(s) that clearly states their availability to mentor, the research environment and support for training, and their commitment to serve for two years as your mentor for your work in Thailand/Indonesia.

After receipt and review of this material we will contact you with further instructions about providing additional application documents.  Please be advised that applications are evaluated, and decisions made, as the applications are received.  Applications received after the maximum number of applicants have been accepted will not be reviewed.

Fees/Tuition:

There is no charge for applying or for participating in this program if you are accepted.

As 2024 will be the final year of this two-year training program, we can no longer accept applications.
